We're really proud to introduce the all-new Unity. We have replaced the older 8 and 9mm versions with a new slimmed down 7.8mm cord. This rope is certified as both a half and twin rope. The new Unity line is small and light but MAXIM durable and are all 2x Dry with a regular pattern that can't be beat for ice and alpine climbing. The new Unity is available in two new colors - Emerald and Sapphire.
Unity is a multi-purpose half/twin/double rope and is perfect for the weight-conscious alpinist. The Unity is designed to be alternately or jointly clipped to protection. It is constructed to reduce drag and increase fall protection over sharp edges. The Unity provides outstanding performance on routes with multiple traverses. Unity is also light enough and tough enough to be used as a glacier rope.

What is Endura 2x-DRY?
Select models of MAXIM® ropes also pass the second stage of the Endura DRY process and feature 2x-DRY treatment. These ropes are treated a second time by submerging the finished rope in our proprietary dry coating. Afterwards, the finished rope runs through an environmentally controlled process to create a chemical bond between coating and fibers.
MAXIM® ropes with Endura 2x-DRY treatment takes in less than 5 % of their weight in water. Therefore, they also fulfill the requirements to be marked as UIAA water-repellent according to UIAA standard 101.
